I want to build a compiler or my own parsing engine
Are you technically inclined? Have you checked out the latest microsoft, gnu, sun, intel and borland compilers and said to yourself me to or I can do better? Well you had better wipe that smirk off your face because your in for a ride. There is more to building a compiler than reading in a file parsing the contents and vomiting machine code. I don't necessarliy want to get into all the gory details myself, but would like to provide a helpful starting point in case you want to write a config file parser that isn't necessarily too complex, but gives you the fundamentals to be on your way. You might think that a conf file and a c file might be totally different, however, they are both files that contain textual information that gets processed into tokens and translated into some other form to be useful to a computer.
We hear various terms thrown around whenever a popular web site gets hacked. SQL Injection, session hi-jacking, cross site scripting, etc. Web site hacks are usually done my malicious users and in more cases than not, just to prove they can exploit a security flaw on your web site.
As web site developers, we had to recently deal with a web site hack with the sole motivation to steal web site traffic from the targeted web site. The attack caused our clients web site to be indexed by Google with false page titles, descriptions, and in some cases redirecting the traffic to a third party web site. When a regular user visited the site everything seemed normal. The HTML source was not altered in any way. So how was Google indexing the site with the false information?

Cheese Pong
Anyone up for a really cheesy version of Pong written in .net. The only customization right now easily available is the mp3 that comes with the download that you can replace with some other mp3. The background was retrieved somewhere online and was Created by Phil Chu, but I am sure that you might want to replace it.
The Download
The download contains an exe and an mp3 which you can swap out as long as it contains the name background.mp3. You will need to have .net runtime 3.5 pre installed as this is not an installer file.

Windows 7 Locks up or slows when opening a folder
There are a few reasons why windows in general may slow down when opening a folder. The simple reason is because windows is doing something or asking some program to do something on it's behalf. At first when people experience slow downs, they may think that they need a processor upgrade, more memory or a new computer alltogether. Although these things would definately help the situation they are not the cause and definately not necessarily the only solution.
