How To: Downgrading Internet Explorer 9 ( Windows 7 )
Internet Explorer 9 is Microsoft&squo;s latest Browser at the time of this writing ( May 5, 2011 ) and there have definately been a number of changes. There are as with most browser main version updates some issues and changes to overcome in regards to ActiveX Controlls. So if you need to downgrade, try the following:
Click Start->Control Panel to open up the windows Control Panel
When Control Panel opens up, choose Programs and Features from the first column of control panel applets.
NOTE: If there is no Programs and features you may have to customize the way that control panel displays it&squo;s items. Look under view by and choose Small Icons or if you are in Category View, choose the Programs control panel applet
From the Programs and Features applet, first click on view installed updates to reveal the program update options as opposed to just the list of programs.
Once you have revealed all of the updates, you will have to locate Internet Explorer 9 in the list on the right under the Microsoft Windows section
Once located, click on the Windows Internet Explorer 9 item and click on Uninstall Item from the upper left menu.
When asked to reboot, please follow the instructions and reboot.
When the reboot has completed, you should now have Internet Explorer 8 on your system.
